Office of Persons with Developmental Disabilities

9/4/2012

If you are a parent/guardian/provider of a person with a developmental disability, you should take some time to visit the web site of the Office of Persons with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), www.opwdd.ny.gov.  It provides information on the types of services offered and is a good way to keep informed on a number of changes that are coming regarding access to care, assessments and provision of a wider variety of programs and supports.  Of special interest is the part of the web site dedicated to the People First Waiver.
